ISCO Laser Flow Meter The LaserFlow™ remotely measures flow in open channels with non-contact Laser Doppler Velocity technology and non-contact Ultrasonic Level technology. The sensor uses advanced technology to measure velocity with a laser beam at single or multiple points below the surface of the wastewater stream. (Patent Pending) The LaserFlow is ideal for a broad range of wastewater monitoring applications. It is compatible with both the Teledyne Isco Signature® Flow Meter and the Teledyne Isco 2160 LaserFlow Module, depending on the type of installation. During submerged conditions, flow measurement continues without interruption with optional Doppler Ultrasonic Area Velocity technology. With its specially designed mounting bracket in place, the LaserFlow can be deployed and removed from above ground, eliminating unsafe and timeconsuming confined space entry. A variety of communication options enable programming and data retrieval from a remote location. Information about data quality can be recorded and transmitted alongside the flow data.

Signature Flow Meter


Signature Flow Meter The new Isco Signature flow meter is designed for open channel flow monitoring applications. It supports flow measurement technologies including ultrasonic and bubbler. Flow can be calculated using standard open channel level-to-flow conversions, level to flow data points as well as user-defined equations, depending on the needs of the application.

Unique features provided by the Signature flow meter help to verify data integrity. It logs key events such as power outages and changes in calibration to validate data accuracy. Stored data can be easily reviewed to detect any type of data alteration.

The ISCO 2150 area velocity flow meter features a smart area velocity probe which is built on digital electronics, so the analog level is digitized in the sensor itself to overcome electromagnetic interference.

The area velocity probe is factory calibrated for a 3 meter span at different temperatures. This calibration eliminates drift in the level signal and provides long term level stability. This reduces recalibration frequency and completely eliminates span recalibration.

In the field, the ISCO 2150 flow meter can be powered by either two alkaline, or ISCO Rechargeable lead acid batteries, within a 2191 Battery Module. The battery has a life of up to 15 months at 15 minute data storage intervals due to highly efficient power management.

Standard Features of the 2150 include:

  • Submersible enclosure meets NEMA 4X, 6P (IP68) environmental specs.
  • Chemically resistant epoxy-encapsulated sensor withstands abuse, resists oil and grease fouling, and eliminates the need for frequent cleaning.
  • The replaceable high-capacity internal desiccant cartridge and hydrophobic filter protect sensor reference from water entry and internal moisture.
  • Secure data storage. All data are continuously stored in flash memory to protect against loss in case of power failure
  • Variable rate data storage lets you change the data storage interval when programmed conditions occur. This feature assures maximum information about an exceptional event ? such as an overflow ? while conserving power and data capacity during normal conditions.
  • Easy to upgrade. New operating software can be downloaded into non-volatile flash memory, without affecting stored program and data.
  • Up to four 2100 Series flow modules can be networked by stacking and/or extension cables.
  • Pressure transducer vent system automatically compensates for atmospheric pressure changes to maintain accuracy.
  • The quick-connect sensor can be easily removed and interchanged in the field without requiring recalibration.
  • Secure data storage. All data are continuously stored in flash memory to protect against loss in case of power failure
  • Records and stores input voltage and temperature data.
  • 38,400 bps communications provides speedy setup and data retrieval.
